"Democrats have become the anti-Israel party," President Trump said before boarding a plane to Alabama Friday to tour the destruction from this week's deadly tornadoes.
"They've become an anti-Israel party, they have become an anti-Jewish party and that's too bad,” the president told reporters.

A day earlier, all House Democrats voted in favor of an anti-hate resolution that had been prompted by Rep. Ilhan Omar's (D-MN) incessant anti-Semitic comments. It didn't receive the blessing of all Republicans, however, because when Omar complained about being singled out, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi agreed to expand the resolution to condemn other forms of bigotry. Critics fumed that Democrats were giving cover to Omar and her offensive language.
Among her controversial remarks was her accusing pro-Israel U.S. lawmakers of dual loyalty, a charge Anti-Defamation League leaders say is not only anti-Semitic, but un-American.
Before his press gaggle on Friday, Trump told Congress to, at the very least, remove Omar from the House Foreign Affairs Committee. He has also dismissed her weak apologies as "lame."
