Late last week, Empire actor Jussie Smollett was exposed by Chicago Police for taking extensive measures to allegedly fake a hate crime against himself.
During a polar vortex, Smollett reportedly hired two brothers to "attack him" and ordered them to shout "this is MAGA country" while doing so. He claimed his attackers (the brothers) were wearing "Make America Great Again" hats and that they poured an unknown substance on his body before putting a noose around his neck. According to police, Smollett paid the brothers with a check and they were caught on camera purchasing the hats, rope and bleach prior to incident.

But according to Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson, there's even more evidence showing Smollett created the entire hoax.
“There’s a lot more evidence that hasn’t been presented yet and does not support the version he gave,” Johnson said during an interview with Good Morning America Monday. “There’s still a lot of physical evidence, video evidence, and testimony that just simply does not support his version of what happened.”

As a reminder, Smollett went on Good Morning America to claim he was attacked, vowed he was telling the truth and classified those doubting his story as racists.
