You may have heard Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) declare that the world will end in 12 years because of irreversible climate change.
"The world is gonna end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change,” Ocasio-Cortez warned us earlier this week.
When the White House challenged her doomsday predictions, the freshman representative cited the Bible.
“Genesis 1: God looked on the world & called it good not once, not twice, but seven times.
— Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) January 23, 2019
Genesis 2: God commands all people to “serve and protect” creation.
Leviticus: God mandates that not only the people, but the land that sustains them, shall be respected.” https://t.co/AhWd3vuVBd
That only gave conservatives more ammunition to mock her, none more so than Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC). When Ocasio-Cortez criticized him on Twitter for defending President Trump during this week's State of the Union showdown, Graham had the perfect comeback.
Let’s bury the hatchet and enjoy the next 12 years because they are going to be our last, right? https://t.co/OKhAAcGKyr

Oh, and he wasn't done with that 12 years metaphor.

Even worse news, @AOC and her new socialist colleagues seem hell-bent on making sure that our last 12 years will be spent as Venezuelan socialists, not Americans.

It's another comeback from the reinvented Lindsey Graham conservatives have come to know and love. Some of his other witty retorts were uttered in the halls of Capitol Hill during the contentious Brett Kavanaugh confirmation hearings. Remember this snappy retort he had for a female protester?

Protester yells at him about Kavanaugh taking a polygraph.
Graham: "Why don't we dunk him in the water and see if he floats?"
