CNBC Host Trashes Democrats Over Shutdown: They're Just Trying To Make A Political Point

The government shutdown is in its 21stday. And nuclear Armageddon has not happened. Democrat government workers remain at home—and no one really cares about that. Stories about furloughed government workers will certainly not build any pressure to re-open the government. President Trump wants some money for his border wall. Democrats are refusing. Trump offered to re-open the government in order to get something for the wall. The Democrats refused. It’s not like we're talking tens or even hundreds of billions of dollars here, folks. It’s around $5 billion. That’s it. Democrats don’t want the border enforced, they don’t want the wall, and they don’t care about the families killed by illegal aliens. All they see when they look at these migrants is a pool of new voters to nab through amnesty; they see a whole generation to be suckered in and taken for a ride because that’s the Democratic Party. Everyone knows the game.

CNBC host Joe Kernen laid into House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) over this whole situation. The president reportedly offered to re-open the government if he got $2.5 billion for his wall. The Democrats refused. Kernen wasn’t buying the argument that they couldn’t re-open the government.

“You can open the government. Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer can open the government anytime they want by just coming together with just the slightest bit of negotiation, which makes me think they don’t care about people not getting paychecks either,” said Kernen. “They just care about making a political point in denying Trump anything.

Yep, that’s pretty much it. And frankly, we shouldn’t be shocked since that’s why Democrats gained 40 seats in the House. Some by manipulating voting laws in California, but mostly because the progressive Left, seething with rage, wants to stop anything this president is trying to do, like securing the border, creating jobs, and growing the economy.

Hoyer said that shutting down the government is a “stupid, immoral policy." Still, the fact remains that the reason why we're in a shutdown is that Trump wants a wall for border security. They work too, and local news outlets have reported that walls do work.
