Sen. Lindsey Graham is encouraging President Trump to move forward with declaring an emergency to build the wall, saying that “Democrats are not working in good faith with you.”

Declare emergency, build the wall now.
The tweet came hours after he admitted he didn’t know if that plan would work, but figured it would be worth trying given that he didn’t see a way forward in Congress.
“Speaker Pelosi’s refusal to negotiate on Wall/Barrier funding – even if the government were to be reopened – virtually ends congressional path to fund Wall/Barrier," he said earlier Thursday. "Time for President @realDonaldTrump to use emergency powers to build Wall/Barrier. I hope it works."
President @realdonaldtrump strongly believes he has power to declare a national emergency to build a wall.

Will that approach work?
I don’t know.
However, I currently do not see a path in Congress – given the recent statements of @SpeakerPelosi and the inability to use regular order in the Senate -- to fund a wall.

Complete stalemate right now in Congress.

President Trump said in an interview Thursday evening with Fox News's Sean Hannity that he has the "absolute right to declare a national emergency" if no deal is reached with Congressional Democrats.
"The law is very clear. I mean, we have the absolute right to declare a national emergency," he said. "This is a national emergency, if you look what's happening."
