Dem Jacky Rosen Successfully Flips NV Senate Seat

Nevada Sen. Dean Heller (R) faced challenger Rep. Jacky Rossen (D) this election cycle.

An early November poll conducted by Trafalgar Group showed Heller winning by three points. A poll conducted by HarrisX during the same time period showed Heller winning by only one point. An Emerson College poll conducted a few days before Election Day showed Rosen winning by four points.

Both candidates had endorsements from presidents. Donald Trump showed up in Nevada to stump for Heller, while Barack Obama campaigned on behalf of Rosen.

Rosen even dropped an ad featuring President Obama, encouraging people to vote for Rosen:

The National Republican Senatorial Committee spent $4.9 million on ads opposing Rosen, while the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spent $7.9 million on ads opposing Heller. The Senate Leadership Fund also dropped $16.4 million opposing Rosen while the Senate Majority PAC dropped $14.8 million supporting Rosen.

Media outlets projected Rosen to win by seven points.
