Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill (D) is facing a tough reelection ahead of next weeks midterm elections. She's doing everything in her power to make sure she gets reelected, including throwing fellow progressive Democrats under the bus.
Her campaign launched a radio ad last week that aims at making her appear to be a moderate Democrat. The ad features two men having a conversation about McCaskill's time in office and her positions on various policies.
"Claire's not one of those crazy Democrats. She works right in the middle and finds compromise," one man says.
"I don't always agree with Claire McCaskill. But she works hard, fighting against those tariffs, doing all those town halls," the other man says. "Claire's not afraid to stand up against her own party."
Fox News' Brett Baier put McCaskill in the hot seat on Monday when he asked who exactly those "crazy Democrats" are.

She said that those "crazy Democrats" are those who chase scream at elected officials in restaurants, a clear reference to various incidents that happened to GOP representatives.

McCaskill also used the opportunity to take a jab at Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Bernie Sanders (I-VT):

It's obvious that McCaskill is doing everything in her power to make herself seem even more moderate than she really is. We know that she wants an outright gun ban. We know that she's in tight with Planned Parenthood when they jump through loopholes to donate to her campaign. We know that she flip-flops on important issues, like whether or not to support now-Justice Brett Kavanaugh. And we now know that she has absolutely zero regard for her rural voters.
Face it, Claire. Missourians are onto you and your shenanigans.
