During a debate about the Trump administration's zero tolerance policy at the border on Fox News, Corey Lewandowski made a rather insensitive remark. The former Trump campaign manager was debating Democratic strategist Zac Petkanas over the policy Tuesday night. At one point, Petkanas referenced a 10-year-old girl with Down Syndrome who had been separated from her family. In the middle of his account, Lewandowski said "wah wah" sarcastically. It didn't go unnoticed by Petkanas, who shouted, "how dare you!"
Several people shared the exchange on Twitter, shaking their heads.

here’s Corey Lewandowski mockingly saying “womp womp” to the story of a 10-year-old girl with Down Syndrome who was separated from her mother at the border.

"Did you just say 'wah wah' to a 10-year-old with Down syndrome being taken from her mother?" Petkanas asked.
"What I said is you can pick anything you want ... but the bottom line is very clear: When you cross the border illegally, you have given up the rights of this country," Lewandowski responded.
Several media personalities called him a monster.

Former Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly was also stunned, suggesting Lewandowski should not be afforded one more minute of airtime.
There is no low to which this coward Corey Lewandowski won’t sink. This man should not be afforded a national platform to spew his hate. https://t.co/M8adu7P2sf
