President Trump Delivers a Gem of a Line When Asked His Thoughts on Winning the Nobel Peace Prize

President Donald J. Trump has impeccable comedic timing.  The latest evidence of the consummate showman’s humor came today after being asked his thoughts on winning the Nobel Peace Prize.

A reporter asked President Trump if he thought he that he should win the Nobel Peace Prize for his ongoing efforts to denuclearize North Korea and bring peace to the region.

“Everyone thinks so, but I would never say it,” President Trump responded with a grin and slight chuckle.

President Trump then got very serious and said, “You know what I want to do? I want to get it finished. The prize I want is victory for the world. Not for even here, I want victory for the world ’cause that’s what we’re talking about. So, that’s the only prize I want.”

As reported on Townhall a few weeks ago, everybody from Nigel Farrage to United States Congressmen and even South Korean President Moon Jae-In have voiced support for President Trump to win the Nobel Peace Prize.

Rep. Messer was one of the first US Congressmen to call for President Trump's Nobel Prize.

“If North Korea disarms, President Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize...President Trump’s peace through strength strategy is making America safer and delivering results. This is more progress in North Korea than we saw during the entire Obama administration, and it’s a direct result of President Trump’s strong leadership on the world stage," Rep. Messer said in a statement.
