Is North Korea About to Release American Prisoners?

According to President Trump's personal attorney Rudy Guiliani, North Korea will release three American prisoners at some point on Thursday.

"We got Kim Jong Un impressed enough to be releasing three prisoners today," Guiliani said during an interview with Fox and Friends.

The Americans are Kim Hak-song Kim Dong Chul and Kim Sang Duk. Their families have been working with administration officials on their release from a North Korean labor camp.

Late Wednesday night, President Trump tweeted about the situation and urged people to "stay tuned."

At this point, the White House and State Department haven't put out any official guidance or details about the potential release. When asked about the hostages Thursday morning, Press Secretary Sarah Sanders would not confirm the news.

Meanwhile, President Trump suggested earlier this week his upcoming meeting with dictator Kim Jong Un could take place at the Peace House in the DMZ.
