So great is the hatred for President Donald Trump that jokes about killing him are fine. I remember when George W. Bush was subjected to a lot of hatred from the Left, but this seams like AAA ball compared to what we’re seeing today from the Left. California Democratic Sen. Kamala Harris cracked the joke when she appeared on Ellen DeGeneres’s show on Thursday. The comedian and daytime host asked the California Democrat “if you had to be stuck on an elevator with either President Trump, Mike Pence, or Jeff Sessions, who would it be?”
Harris responded, “Does one of us have to come out alive?”
DeGeneres clapped in approval.
Okay—this is free speech. I get it. I’m not one to call for a boycott of Ellen’s show; I hate boycotts. And I don’t think Harris should be censured. It was just a bad joke. The problem is if Harris were a Republican—you all know this game—this would be a weeklong story about GOP extremism. Is it okay to joke about killing a Democratic president etc.? It would have been nauseating. It also shows once again that Democrats are still sour about their 2016 loss and unable to accept that Hillary Clinton will never be president.
Again, sure—you can make jokes about killing the president in an exercise of being a sore loser, but don’t expect that those of us who support America and this presidency are just going to stand idle while the Left executes an asinine strategy of degrading the office of the president to save it. This was a way for her to get more exposure for a possible 2020 run. She needs to up her name recognition and jokes about killing Trump will get the attention and in some cases, adoration from those of the Left.
