Hostages Being Held in Veterans Home in California

UPDATE:  Three female hostages were killed today as a gunman wearing body armor took control of California's largest veteran's home. The hostage situation began around 10:30 AM PT and lasted over 8 hours. It culminated in the gunman being killed. It is unclear if he shot himself, or if he was killed by police officers. Authorities do not know the motives. This story will continued to be updated as details come in.

A veterans home in Yountville, CA is on lockdown Friday after reports of gunfire. It is still an active shooter situation and the suspect has taken a few hostages, according to local fire officials.

The armed suspect was dressed in black with body armor, according to local news.

SWAT teams are on the scene trying negotiations to bring an end to the hostage situation.
