In case you missed the Grammy awards last night, you didn't miss much music. When Bruno Mars wasn't accepting nearly every single award, artists were sharing their political views. Camilo Cabelo made an appeal for Dreamers, Jay-Z tore into the president, etc.
Hillary Clinton joined in the fun. In one pre-taped skit featuring several musical artists, the former 2016 Democratic presidential candidate read an excerpt from author Michael Wolff's controversial book, "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House." She was auditioning to read the audiobook and James Corden gave her the job.
"Fire and Fury" has been roundly dismissed (even by typical liberal outlets and anchors) as a tabloid rag full of unflattering, sensationalized tales about the president. Wolff himself admits in the book he may have exaggerated a few things.
U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley was extremely disappointed the awards show gave the book such a large platform.
I have always loved the Grammys but to have artists read the Fire and Fury book killed it. Don’t ruin great music with trash. Some of us love music without the politics thrown in it.

Haley's response was very personal because Wolff has not only been targeting President Trump on his publicity tour. The author began another dangerous rumor last week during his appearance on Bill Maher’s Real Time on HBO, where he claimed that Haley had an affair with Trump. Like many of his other claims, it was unsubstantiated.

Still, Clinton thought it'd be fun to give Wolff more attention by reading his book at the awards program.
Social media believed Haley had a right to be upset.
Hillary Clinton just publicly endorsed a misogynist, discredited author who has no shame in spreading vicious rumors about one of the nation’s most prominent women (Ambassador Nikki Haley) sleeping her way to the top.

Don’t ever tell me she supports women again. #GRAMMYs https://t.co/5MHfOvMaJo
Nikki Haley has a right to be annoyed to see Hillary Clinton and the Grammys amplify the man who has been passing around nasty rumors that Haley slept her way to the top. This is not difficult to understand. https://t.co/0E3ArnwHEi

Clinton is also facing criticism for reports she helped shield a former campaign advisor who was accused of sexual assault.
