"Special deals for special people is not the American way," according to Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH).
He, along with several other Republican lawmakers, are calling for an investigation into the FBI's supposed special treatment of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. A second special counsel into her email matter would be a much better use of time and money than the "witch hunt" Robert Mueller is leading against President Trump, said Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL).
This week, reports revealed that one of the lead investigators into the FBI probe into Clinton's emails last summer, Peter Strzok, changed conclusive language from "gross negligence" to "extremely careless" in terms of how Clinton handled classified intel on her private server. He was also assigned to the Mueller probe into Russian collusion, but was removed after it was found he had sent anti-Trump texts to a woman with whom he was having an extramarital affair.
“We now know that people who hate President Trump were assigned to investigate him,” Gaetz said Wednesday, adding the Mueller investigation has been "undermined."
Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe had reportedly written emails indicating that the Clinton email probe was more timid than it was aggressive. He referred to it as “special” and said it was handled with a “small team.” Moreover, it turns out former FBI Director James Comey had planned to let Clinton off the hook from any criminal charges long before the investigation had concluded - before the agency had even interviewed key witnesses.
President Trump used Twitter to condemn how the agency handled the Clinton email investigation. Clearly, the FBI did not hold Clinton to the same standard they held his former national security adviser Michael Flynn, the president insisted.
So General Flynn lies to the FBI and his life is destroyed, while Crooked Hillary Clinton, on that now famous FBI holiday “interrogation” with no swearing in and no recording, lies many times...and nothing happens to her? Rigged system, or just a double standard?

The House Judiciary Committee is expected to grill FBI Director Christopher Wray about the FBI's delicate handling of Clinton's email investigation at an oversight hearing on Thursday.
