Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton praised President Trump’s speech at the U.N. General Assembly Tuesday as the best of his presidency.
Trump’s “speech was his best yet as President. He was clear & direct in his criticisms of #NorthKorea & #Iran,” he tweeted.
“In the entire history of the UN, there has never been a more straight forward criticism of the unacceptable behavior of other member states,” he added. “@POTUS’s UN speech showed that he will not live with the half measures and compromises w/ #NorthKorea that have failed for the past 25 yrs.”
Speaking of North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, Trump said he’s on a “suicide mission.”
"No nation on earth has an interest in seeing this band of criminals arm itself with nuclear weapons and missiles. The United States has great strength and patience, but if it is forced to defend itself or its allies, we will have no choice but to totally destroy North Korea. Rocket man is on a suicide mission for himself and for his regime. The United States is ready, willing and able, but hopefully this will not be necessary," he said.

He also slammed Iran and said the Iranian nuclear deal was an “embarrassment” to the U.S.
"The Iranian government masks a corrupt dictatorship behind the false guise of a democracy. It has turned a wealthy country, with a rich history and culture, into an economically depleted rogue state whose chief exports are violence, bloodshed and chaos."
Trump also took aim at Venezuela, saying the problem in that country “isn’t that socialism has been poorly implemented, but that socialism has been correctly implemented.”
"There are a lot of people in the UN. who have never heard anything like that from an American president," Bolton said. "I think this was an outstanding speech, and I think it will serve the president very well."
