Famous British actor Michael Caine defended his support of Brexit on Friday, citing his belief in freedom and individualism.
“I voted for Brexit... what it is with me, I’d rather be a poor master than a rich servant,” he said during an interview with Sky News. It “wasn’t about the racism, immigrants or anything, it was about freedom.”
Great Britain voted for independence from the European Union in 2016. The official paperwork was delivered to Brussels last month and financial negations are underway in preparation for the exit.
"This is an historic moment for which there can be no turning back. Britain is leaving the European Union," Prime Minister Theresa May told the House of Commons in London.
