A perhaps unlikely ally has emerged in the growing controversy about President-elect Donald Trump's phone call with Tawianese President Tsai Ing-wen: Ted Cruz. In a tweet, Cruz said that he would rather Trump talk to a leader like Tsai than other controversial figures that Obama has spoken to during his presidency.
I would much rather have Donald Trump talking to President Tsai than to Cuba's Raul Castro or Iran's Hasan Rouhani. This is an improvement.
