Unreal: ISIS Captured US Military Gear Because Troops had to Evacuate Under "Effective Enemy Fire"

What the hell is going on?

On Monday, photos were leaked from an Islamic media group that showed ISIS members capturing a trove of U.S. military equipment and weaponry that included a rocket launcher, the ID card of a U.S. soldier, grenades and important information.

Apparently this was the site of a firefight between U.S. special forces and ISIS.  And according to Army Brig. Gen. Charles Cleveland, the special operations troops came under "effective enemy fire" at the 'casualty collection point' and left the gear behind while moving to a 'safer' location.

But don't worry America, this was not a retreat.

"For understandable reasons, the lives of soldiers were not put at risk to recover the equipment prior to the scheduled exfiltration from the area at the already planned conclusion of the operation," the general said. "Neither U.S. positions nor personnel were overrun."

The facts are the facts.  A position was held by the U.S. military in the Nangarhar Province of Afghanistan.  That position was quickly assaulted by the Islamic State.  The U.S. forces left that position and ISIS now has weaponry, an ID card, and who knows what else when all was said and done.
