Bombing Domestic Terrorist Bill Ayers Wants The AR-15 Banned

Domestic terrorist Bill Ayers, notorious for his work with the Weather Underground and for launching Barack Obama's political career, is calling for a ban of the AR-15 sporting rifle.

Where to begin with this? Lets start with the fact that Ayers is an admitted, domestic terrorist who bombed the Pentagon and other domestic U.S. targets. To this day, he doesn't feel it was "enough."

''I don't regret setting bombs,'' Bill Ayers said. ''I feel we didn't do enough.'' Mr. Ayers, who spent the 1970's as a fugitive in the Weather Underground, was sitting in the kitchen of his big turn-of-the-19th-century stone house in the Hyde Park district of Chicago. The long curly locks in his Wanted poster are shorn, though he wears earrings. He still has tattooed on his neck the rainbow-and-lightning Weathermen logo that appeared on letters taking responsibility for bombings.

Ayer's mantra in the 1970s was "kill all the rich people" and "your parents," along with the Weather Underground members who followed his lead. The group allegedly bombed and killed a San Francisco police officer. The home of a New York City judge was also bombed. In 1981, the group attempted to rob a Brinks truck and killed three law enforcement officers in the process. Ayers says the underground was responsible for at least 20 bombings during its activism.

Mr. Ayers, who in 1970 was said to have summed up the Weatherman philosophy as: ''Kill all the rich people. Break up their cars and apartments. Bring the revolution home, kill your parents, that's where it's really at,'' is today distinguished professor of education at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

In his book Mr. Ayers describes the Weathermen descending into a ''whirlpool of violence.''

''Everything was absolutely ideal on the day I bombed the Pentagon,'' he writes. But then comes a disclaimer: ''Even though I didn't actually bomb the Pentagon -- we bombed it, in the sense that Weathermen organized it and claimed it.'' He goes on to provide details about the manufacture of the bomb and how a woman he calls Anna placed the bomb in a restroom.

During an interview with Fox News' Megyn Kelly, Ayers showed no remorse for his actions and as she notes, has been able to define himself as a celebrated revolutionary among the left.

And finally Ayers' tweet came from Chicago (where he lives), which of course is a city with some of the strictest gun control laws in the country with the highest murder rate in the country.
