BREAKING: Four Marines Killed in Chattanooga Shooting

Multiple media outlets are reporting there’s been a series of shootings in Chattanooga, Tennessee. A local college is on lockdown and a policeman has reportedly been shot. Authorities, therefore, are taking the situation very seriously:

UPDATE: Fox News reports the suspect is a white male.

UPDATE: Fox News reports that Cleveland, Tennessee and Chattanooga, Tennessee are on lockdown. They are roughly 30 miles apart.

UPDATE: The shootings took place at the Naval Reserve Center and the Armed Forces Career Center in Chattanooga.

UPDATE: “We do know," Chattanooga Mayor Andy Berke just told reporters, "that we have four individuals who were killed, who are victims. We know that the shooter was killed at the scene as well. Also, one Chattanooga police officer was shot in the ankle -- and has been treated very well.”

He added that “other individuals” were shot too, but are in stable condition.

“It is incomprehensible to see what happened and the way that individuals who proudly served our country were treated,” Berke added. “[There were] two different locations this individual went to. And as a city, we will respond with every available resource we have.”

UPDATE: The gunman has been identified.

UPDATE (LB): The gunman has been identified as 24-year-old Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez, police have confirmed to Fox News. 

Abdulazeez, 24, was born in Kuwait, a U.S. official told Fox. It was not immediately clear if he was a U.S. or Kuwaiti citizen. He was reported to be from Hixson, Tenn., just across the river from Chattanooga.

The law enforcement source said preliminary reports indicate Abdulazeez, who also died, was not on the FBI's radar leading up to Thursday's attacks. The circumstances of his death were not immediately disclosed.
