And the “Hottest” Pol in America is…

...Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA). In short, respondents were asked by Quinnipiac University to rank a list of politicians on (ahem) how “hot” they are -- in other words, how much they liked them. Ms. Warren, for her part, secured the top spot.

From The Hill:

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) ranks as the "hottest" politician in a new Quinnipiac poll, even though many people do not know enough about her to form an opinion.

Warren garners a 48.6 score on Quinnipiac's "feeling thermometer", however, 46 percent of the public does not know enough about the freshman senator to form an opinion.

She is trailed closely behind by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.).

The survey measured the public’s receptiveness to a number of political leaders using a scale from zero to 100, with the higher number representing “the warmer or more favorable” voters felt about a lawmaker.

Clinton receives a 47.8 on the scale, while Ryan pulls in a 47.4.

I suppose Hillary Clinton need not worry she isn’t as, er, “hot” as Sen. Warren at this point in time. The Massachusetts senator has definitively ruled out running for president in 2016, despite urgings in some circles that she test the waters. Plus, when the pollsters sampled just Democrats, the former secretary of state did just fine.
