These reports are no laughing matter, of course, but if you’re one of countless Americans who've tried unsuccessfully to sign up for Obamacare in recent weeks, you’ll at least appreciate David Letterman’s jokes last night.
Got to laugh to keep from crying, right?
The number of people who’ve reportedly enrolled in the exchanges thus far is appallingly low. Robert Gibbs called the whole process “excruciatingly embarrassing” and Ezra Klein called it “a big failure.” These two men aren’t exactly right-wing tea party types, either. Still, I suppose that’s only to be expected when the government hires seemingly unqualified, politically connected people to run the official Obamacare website, no? What a disaster.
