Wow! What an inspiring segment. Chris Cox, also known as "Lawnmower Man," appeared today on Fox News to discuss the reasons for his voluntary work around the DC memorials.
Cox is a wood carver by trade (tool of choice is the chainsaw). He was asked by Fox host Jenna Lee to plug his business at the end of their interview, Cox declined: "I don't want it to be about me."

There is a sentiment that has been in the back of American minds now for generations. Our President once said, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what can you do for your country." And as a civilian you don't get a lot of opportunities to serve your country, and I saw this as an opportunity. And I was surprised I was the only one down there. And before I could lead a movement I first had to lead by example. And so I got in the trenches and just started making it happen.
My goal was to inspire Americans around the country to get up and go out to their memorials and to parks and to support the National Park Service. But instead of showing up with a picnic basket I was hoping that they would show up with a trash bag and a rake, a firm hand shake, a smile, and a good attitude.
