This isn't something you see everyday, folks. As I write this, Senator Cruz is currently reading "Green Eggs and Ham" by Dr. Seuss to his two children from the Senate floor, where he is currently "filibustering" the president's health care law.
He also told his children after finishing the story that he wanted them to kiss their mother goodnight, brush their teeth and say their prayers before bed. And of course, that he loved them -- and looked forward to seeing them soon.
"Daddy is going to be home soon to read to you in person," he said.
