What are students learning at Michigan State University? Well, if they’re sitting in Professor William Penn’s Creative Writing class, they’re discovering that Republicans are “dying white people.” A student caught Penn on tape unleashing a hateful rant against conservatives that must have left his pupils with some interesting notes.
In the middle of his almost ten-minute tirade, Penn informed students that Republicans are old people with "dead skin cells washing off them" who raped the United States to get "everything out of it they possibly could." He also took an opportunity to ridicule 2012 Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney and his wife Ann. Keep in mind the courageous Ann lives with and battles the unpredictable disease multiple sclerosis.
“Who here wants to be Mitt Romney? Married to her? Having José wash your car? [...] Forgive me. Even if you’re Republican, I don’t mean to offend you.”
He could’ve fooled me.

Other than analyze Penn’s obviously offensive comments, I am more curious as to what business an English professor has talking about political ideology? Too many liberal professors are brainwashing young minds into thinking the Republican Party is racist or out-of-touch. I know all too well, having endured countless liberal lectures at my four-year private college. By senior year, however, I started lecturing back.

My message to other young conservatives: Don’t just sit and listen to your professor mock the ideals you hold dear. Raise your hand and say, “Excuse me,” and set the record straight. Staying silent is no way to help the conservative cause. Your classmates are likely to never hear the truth unless you tell them.
A Michigan State official said the university is looking into Penn’s rant and deliberating on a course of action. From MSU Spokesman Kent Cassella via an email:
"MSU has been made aware of the situation, and we will be looking into it. At MSU, it is important the classroom environment is conducive to a free exchange of ideas and is respectful of the opinions of others."
Penn is just one example in a long list of liberal college professors who show no “respect” for their conservative pupils. The only thing for bold conservatives to do is stand up to and teach them a thing or two.
UPDATE: MSU has decided to suspend Professor Penn from teaching for the rest of the semester. The report from campusreform.org.
