Pelosi Admits Dems Lack House Votes for Obamacare

Following another transparent closed-door meeting with fellow House Democrats, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi reported that she lacks the votes to move the Senate's Obamacare bill through the House.  Ruh-Roh.

"In its present form without any changes I don't think it's possible to pass the Senate bill in the House," Pelosi said, adding, "I don't see the votes for it at this time."

This likely means that the process is about to be drawn out into quite a lengthy process--a process likely to run directly smack into the November election hopes of many Democrats.

Pelosi also noted that Dems are "not in a big rush," and are looking to "pause, reflect" on passing health care.

Since when?!  If it weren't for the deafening public outcry over this Obamacare monstrosity, Dems would've had this thing wrapped-up last summer!  After tea parties and outspoken town hall protests stalled its passage, all we've heard from both congressional Democrats and the White House is that this has to get done ASAP!

Perhaps some form of reality is finally settling-in on Capitol Hill?  One can only hope...
