Uh, Ocasio-Cortez Tweeted Something Very Problematic...Like Nazi Sympathizer Problematic

[SEE UPDATE BELOW]

The Left has no grasp of history none. And because of that, we hit these icebergs. We have Democrats likening Border Patrol detention centers for illegals to Nazi concentration camps. Granted, the Left describes any activity or policy from those with whom they disagree as fascistic and Hitler-esque. It’s their default position that has been jacked up on steroids since Trump’s 2016 win. After that 2016 upset, the Left has become increasingly more unhinged. We have the anti-Semitism crew headed by Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), accusing supporters of Israel of exhibiting dual loyalty, saying that Israel has hypnotic powers that shield the world to its evil, and peddled the old trope that Jewish people control political events through cash concerning the activities of AIPAC. AOC decided to top all of this by quoting Nazi sympathizer Evita Peron of Argentina. It was a response to President Trump, who apparently likened her to the late Peron, but clearly didn’t look too much into why quoting this woman was, you know, a very, very….very bad idea. And all of this after she peddled the concentration camp nonsense. You just can't make this up (via Telegraph):

Eva Peron, known as Evita, was the second wife of President Juan Peron, and remains a national heroine almost 60 years after she died from cancer.

Hospitals, schools and orphanages were built in poor areas through a foundation she established and she was crucial to her husband’s popularity with the masses.

However, Mr Peron helped many Nazis fleeing Europe after the Second World War to find a safe haven in Argentina, including Adolf Eichmann and Josef Mengele.

… “It is still suspected that among her [Eva Peron’s] possessions, there were pieces of Nazi treasure, that came from rich Jewish families killed in concentration camps.

Well, that’s messed up. The Daily Wire has more:

It's worth noting that Ocasio-Cortez's comments come after she has engaged in weeks of Holocaust trivialization by falsely comparing immigrant detention facilities to concentration camps. Liberal Harvard Law School professor Alan Dershowitz said that Ocasio-Cortez's repeated false comparison makes her a "Holocaust denier," which is a form of anti-Semitism.

The Foundation for Economic Education (FEE) noted that Eva Perón "demagogued her way to a cult following among those who depended on the favors she dispensed and stepped on anyone who stood in her way. A law which obstructed her ambitions was, in her view, a law to be bent or broken. Any fair assessment of her must note that she delivered numerous vapid harangues and gave away lots of other people’s money, but she never invented, created or built anything."

But will there be any condemnation or criticism lobbed at her from Democrats or their allies in the media? Nope. It seems that’s all this far left House Democratic contingent can do: peddle anti-Semitism, quote Nazi sympathizers, and make false claims about the border facilities. I mean it’s easy to go off the hinges when you’re elected to do nothing but whine.

UPDATE: Oh, and now AOC’s chief of staff is getting in on the Nazi sympathizer game, reportedly wearing a t-shirt of Subhas Chandra Bose. Who is he? Well, The Times of India has a good rundown of the man. He met with Hitler, admired Mussolini, and said that there would have to be a total and ruthless dictatorship for a period of two decades once India is no longer under British rule. And if history tells us anything, if this were to happen, there would have been another 20 years added after that because that’s what dictators do. In 1944, ar Tokyo University, the publication noted that Bose had pretty much become a Nazi, telling students there “should be a synthesis between national socialism and communism.”
