Congressional Democrats Pray For Their Republican Colleagues

House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA) is out of surgery after being shot by James T. Hodgkinson, a 66-year-old Illinois resident. Mr. Scalise was hit in the hip, while a staffer for Rep. Roger Williams (R-TX) and two Capitol Police officers were also shot during the attack. Hodgkinson was shot by police and later died of his injuries. As members of Congress come together, Congressional Democrats prayed for their Republican colleagues. Now, it may not last long, but for now—both parties are coming together to support and stand by one another. Rep. Ruben J. Kihuen (D-NV) took the following photo:
