Top House Democrat: We Have No Hard Evidence Of Russian Collusion

“We don’t yet have hard evidence,” says House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-MD) about the Russian collusion allegations. CNN’s Chris Cuomo, who was asking about what does it mean that there’s no hard evidence regarding Russian collusion, was interviewing the Maryland Democrat.

Hoyer also said “It’s the pattern that leads one to believe that there’s fire where there is so much smoke.” Yet, there’s no evidence. Every single “scoop” about possible Russian collusion, or acts of wrongdoing, always have buried in the story that there’s either no evidence or there’s nothing conclusive. Yes, we know about meetings or interactions Trump officials had with the Russians, but even former CIA Director John Brennan said this week that does not necessarily mean that’s evidence of collusion. Asked directly about such evidence, Brennan said he doesn’t know. Did Russia try to interfere? Probably, but they did not hack this election, which is another misconception peddled by the political Left. The Russians did not hack and mess with vote tallies on Election Night.

Also, Hoyer isn’t the only Democrats saying there is no evidence. His colleague Rep. Joe Crowley (D-NY) said that there’s no evidence. Sen. Dianne Feinstein said (twice) that there’s no evidence. Democrats on the Senate Intelligence Committee are resigned that they may not find evidence of collusion. Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, said that there was no definitive proof.
