President Trump lashed out at FBI Director Christopher Wray Tuesday morning over his response to the Department of Justice’s Inspector General report on FISA abuse against the Trump campaign, which was released on Monday.

Wray told ABC News the report described actions he found to be “unacceptable and unrepresentative of who we are as an institution."

He also said, however, it was "important that the inspector general found that, in this particular instance, the investigation was opened with appropriate predication and authorization."

"The inspector general did not find political bias or improper motivation impacting the opening" of the Russia investigation, he added, noting it "did find a number of instances where employees ... failed to follow our policies."

With that takeaway, Trump questioned whether they read the same report.

“I don’t know what report current Director of the FBI Christopher Wray was reading, but it sure wasn’t the one given to me,” he tweeted. “With that kind of attitude, he will never be able to fix the FBI, which is badly broken despite having some of the greatest men & women working there!”

On Monday Trump held nothing back in responding to the report, saying it showed the FBI attempted an "overthrow of government."

"This was something that we can never allow to happen again," Trump said. "The report actually and especially when you look in to it and the details of the report are far worse than anything I would have even imagined. What they were doing and what they would’ve done if I didn’t make a certain move, a certain move that was a very important move because it would have been even worse if that’s possible."

He continued: "And they might’ve been able to succeed, this was an overthrow of government, this was an attempted overthrow and a lot of people were in on it and they got caught. They got caught red-handed and I look forward to the Durham report, which is coming out in the not-too-distant future. Which is this information plus, plus, plus. An incredible thing that happened and going to put this down as one of our great achievements because what we found and what we saw never, ever should this happen again in our country."
