Obama's Visit To Nevada Resulted In 10% Less Support For Harry Reid

Obama paid a visit to the Battle Born state to rally support for his embattled Senate Majority leader. But that visit actually served the opposite purpose, according to a

Mason-Dixon poll. Seventeen percent of voters said they would be less likely to vote for Reid after Obama visited Nevada, while seven percent said they would be more likely to vote for him.

I'm always wary of translating tidbits of information into electoral predictions, but it certainly seems like a notch in our belt to have the President of the United States be a net loss in electoral success for his own party. As summer primaries are settled, I'll put my money on the Prez kicking back with a summer cocktail instead of hitting campaign trails -- if he hasn't heeded his doctors order to lay off the booze.
