Palin On How Much of Primary Is Left: "If You're Barack Obama, [We] Still Have 54 States to Go"

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, commenting on the South Carolina primary results to Fox News on Saturday, had a bit of fun at the president's expense when asked for her analysis of the race.

Palin said there's still a long way to go in the primary process, with 47 states left.

"Or, if you’re Barack Obama, [we] still have 54 states to go," Palin said, referring to Obama's comment back on the 2008 campaign trail that the United States had 57 states."

Palin says she's pleased the vetting process will continue. She's not endorsing anyone at this time.

She also called Rick Santorum's speech after the primary results came in "awesome" at a different point during the interview; and she spoke briefly about her husband's endorsement of Newt Gingrich.
