Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI) is far from the most popular person in his party at the moment. Last week he joined the chorus of Democrats calling for President Trump's impeachment. In a lengthy Twitter thread after he read all 400-something pages of the Robert Mueller report, Amash shared his conclusions that Trump had obstructed justice.
He took a few days' Twitter hiatus, before returning to double down on last week's musings.
In truth, Mueller’s report describes concerning contacts between members of Trump’s campaign and people in or connected to the Russian government.

Mueller's final statement about the Russia report only emboldened Amash, because the special counsel suggested that it was DOJ rules that prevented him from pursuing criminal charges against the sitting president. Congress doesn't have those stop signs.

Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel interpreted Amash's tweet a bit differently. On Thursday she tweeted at him and suggested he channel his energy to some other congressional items.

Amash's other fellow Republicans, including friends like Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) have told the media they don't know what he's doing and they don't know what he's talking about.
"I was floored by his conclusions," Biggs said. "I disagree with him wholeheartedly."
Even Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), himself a libertarian, says Amash is way off base because at its core the Russia probe was "un-libertarian." The real villain, Paul said, was the FBI, whose "abuse of power" was exposed through the investigation.
