Lewandowski: Reince Was Responsible for Leaks

Former White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus may not have personally leaked information from 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. in the past six months, but the buck stopped with him. That's according to former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski.

After all, Priebus was the "top of the food chain." 

“If Reince couldn’t control those leaks and those leaks continued to permeate, then he was the one who was ultimately responsible,” Lewandowski said on "Fox & Friends" Tuesday.

Priebus was the victim of former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci's foul-mouthed diatribe that was published in The New Yorker last week. In his conversation with reporter Ryan Lizza, which Scaramucci insists he thought was off the record, the comms director said Priebus was an "f***ing paranoid schizophrenic." He also accused Priebus of being the source of his financial disclosure form leaks. Trump has since fired Scaramucci for his profane remarks, which he thought were "inappropriate," according to Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Priebus, however, wasn't far behind.

Scaramucci's animus toward Priebus was again exposed by an email prankster, who got Scaramucci to think he was corresponding with the real deal.

"You know what you did," Scaramucci wrote to the fake Priebus. "We all do. Even today. But rest assured we were prepared. A Man would apologize."

Lewandowski predicted a new, more stable era under former Marine General John Kelly, who took over as chief of staff on Monday. Everyone on staff will report to him, Huckabee Sanders told the press repeatedly.

Kelly is a 4-star general. If he handled Fallujah, the White House should be nothing.
