Here is Rick Santorum's response to Alan Colmes' remarks about the Santorums' behavior in the wake of one of their children's deaths.

Senator Santorum is no doubt right: Alan Colmes probably is a good person -- and it's true that all of us say mean, senseless things that we later regret.

But I'm not sure I could have been as gracious as Senator Santorum was in accepting Colmes' apology.  The way Senator Santorum has behaved is a powerful testament to his Christian faith, and an example for all of us.
