CA Gov. Gavin Newsom's Ridiculous 'Approved' Outdoor Activities During His Stay-at-Home Order

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) has come under fire for having a stay-at-home order with no end in sight. In fact, residents in his state have been standing up and saying "enough." People packed the beaches in Orange County, forcing Newsom to order all city beaches to be closed for good.

"We want you to see sunsets," Newsom said, according to SF Gate. "We want you to enjoy activities outdoors. What they don't want is people congregating outside in large groups."

But fret not! Newsom and his team have provided Californians with an "approved" list of outdoor activities (directly from the state's coronavirus website):

Athletics
Badminton (singles)
Throwing a baseball/softball
BMX biking
Canoeing (singles)
Crabbing
Cycling
Exploring Rock Pools
Gardening (not in groups)
Golf (singles, walking – no cart)
Hiking (trails/ paths allowing distancing)

Kite Boarding and Kitesurfing
Meditation
Outdoor Photography
Picnics (with your stay-home household members only)
Quad Biking
Rock Climbing
Roller Skating and Roller Blading
Rowing (singles)
Scootering (not in groups)

Soft Martial Arts – Tai Chi, Chi Kung (not in groups)
Table Tennis (singles)
Throwing a football, kicking a soccer ball (not in groups)

Although people in the Golden State can still walk, run, hike and go for a bike ride (as long as the practice social distancing), Newsom has ordered all State Parks, campgrounds, museums and visitor centers to close.

Newsom says he wants beaches to be closed to prevent "large gatherings" and "large groups," but if you look at pictures and videos of the beaches, people are far apart from one another.
