WATCH: MacCallum Slaughters Swalwell Over Blatant Hypocrisy: Would You Investigate Eric Trump if the Roles Were Reversed?

Fox News' Martha MacCallum asked Congressman Eric Swalwell (D-CA), point blank, if he would be interested in investigating Eric Trump if his situation mirrored that of Hunter Biden's.

"Let me ask you this. If Eric Trump got a job on the board of a company in Turkey, would you be okay with that?" MacCallum asked. "Would you think that should be something that would be looked into?"

Naturally, Swalwell tried to deflect and say the Trump kids are benefiting business wise from their father's presidency. MacCallum quickly shut that down and reminded him of the question at hand.

"Would you, or would you not, if one of them, after he became president, suddenly became an advisor to an energy company in Turkey or Ukraine, you would say, 'I’m not interested in that'? That is what you’re saying right now," she explained.

"We have open investigations into the Trump family for their corrupt practices, Martha," he replied.

Democrats have continually tried to compare Hunter Biden sitting on Burisma with the various business dealings the Trump kids have had around the world. The Fox News host reminded him that he's comparing apples to oranges.

"Those situations are not parallel!" MacCallum replied. I’m asking you a specific question. I’m saying if they had never been in those businesses before, they got into them only after their father became president, wouldn’t you want to investigate that?"

Swawell hesitated but ultimately agreed with her.

"I would want to go through former channels — formal channels," he replied. "I don’t think it is okay for the president to ask another leader to involve ourselves in the policies."
