This Is Why Democrats Don't Care About Girls' Sports

On the surface, protecting girls' sports seems like a cause tailor-made for the Democrats. You've got girls, who the Democratic Party claims to care about, fighting against the patriarchy and toxic masculinity — two things the Democrats supposedly hate. This also appeals to women, many of whom are mothers, who will appreciate the Democrats going to bat for their daughter's volleyball team.

Democrats could coast to electoral victory on the cause.

Instead, they've repeatedly chosen to take the losing side of this 80-20 issue. California gubernatorial candidate Tom Steyer is just the latest Leftist to go all-in on letting boys beat up on girls on the playing field. In parts of California, that may be the winning stance, but for the rest of the sane world, it's more proof the Democratic Party has lost its marbles.

It took me a long time to figure out why, exactly, Democrats are not just indifferent to the plight of female athletes but often openly hostile toward them, and it's not just because they're beholden to the trans activist crowd. It's because they love mediocrity.

Winning, outside of their political ambitions, means nothing to them. In fact, we normies aren't supposed to win. That's not 'equitable,' and it's certainly not fair. It's the rotten fruit that was planted years ago in the form of participation trophies, the removal of honors classes, and the downplaying of academic success.

I'm not the only one who realized this.

"'Success' for them is everyone getting to play. They are the embodiment of the 'Everyone gets a trophy' mentality, and "Life should not be a contest that pits people against each other to determine 'winners' and 'losers' ... Which is the view of many who grew up in the 'losers' camp," the post reads.

Of course, for the 'trans' athletes and, often, their parents, bullying the girls and winning is the point. And because they're the prevailing protected class, the Democrats look the other way.

This makes our battle against this insanity all the more difficult. Because winning is meaningless to them, Democrats don't care if girls miss out on medals, on competitions, on scholarships. But fight on we must. This is an injustice, pushed by the Democrats, and it must stop.

Fortunately, there are still avenues to do this. Namely, the Democrats — who have had the backing of the LGBTQ community — are turning their backs on a significant portion of the lesbian community. While about five to ten percent of the general population identify as lesbians, roughly 40 percent of female athletes identify as lesbian or bisexual. On top of that, the trans activist crowd has targeted lesbians for years, demanding access to their dating apps, calling them 'transphobic' for not dating 'trans women' (read: men), and demonizing them for speaking out. And while Democrats have a healthy double-digit advantage among women, President Trump earned the highest percentage of women voters for a Republican in ages. Were I a mother of daughters, I would be a thorn in the side of every politician and bureaucrat who put my athlete daughter's health and safety on the line to appease — as Weiner himself admitted — was a small percentage of the population.

The fight is far from over, and we will win. We just have to call an audible and rethink how we play this game.
