Last weekend, President Donald Trump tweeted out this inflammatory accusation:
Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my "wires tapped" in Trump Tower just before the victory. Nothing found. This is McCarthyism!

The media were quick to point out that the president had zero evidence to support this rather serious claim. And, of course, the former Obama administration issued an official denial.
However, some still think there could be some truth to Trump’s tweet.
