Here's Why Tony Evers Thinks Francesca Hong Is Doomed in the General Election

Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers is no fan of Democratic Socialist Francesca Hong. He told reporters the other day that she's "probably not" going to win the general election against Republican Tom Tiffany and Evers is currently touring the state with Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley, who is the Democrats' last best hope to beat Hong in Tuesday's primary.

Evers and Crowley were at the Wisconsin State Fair this week, and they were asked about Hong's campaign.

"She was talking about Thanksgiving ... c'mon."

"I think she's in a tough place," Evers said.

"She has spent her entire campaign deal with, not with the issues, what's on the Twitter. And i just find that's not a good way to beat Tom Tiffany, and if you start that way, you're going to spend your whole time doing that instead of having someone like the County Executive here talking about the issues," he continued, "and it's going to be tough. I mean I do think it's possible she can win but I think she's at a real disadvantage. Especially since she spend a lot of time talking about Twitter."

"She talked about Thanksgiving, and she really likes it, but she doesn't like it. C'mon. This is about making sure the people of Wisconsin get what they need to be successful, and David has been doing that his entire life," Evers said. "And so that's why we're going to do whatever we can to make sure he gets across the finish line."
