Big cheers for Haley on her abortion answer which was about not dividing or blaming people and "saving as many babies as we can."
Scott on the other hand just endorsed a federal 15-week limit... and hasn't generated much of anything from the crowd.
There's no need to me to rate the closing statements — they're scripted stump stuff and the least interesting part of any debate.
And while one of your other favorite PJ Media writers puts together the post-debate wrap, I'm going to go look for that giant-sized brandy snifter.
Thanks for tuning in and, while I don't want to spoil anything, Newsom and DeSantis are supposed to debate one another on November 30.
Stay tuned!

President Xi is laughing at you, Joe. Maybe you should go walk 17,000 more miles with him.
Thanks, everyone for going through this speech with us - my gift to you is 50% off a Twitchy VIP Membership with SAVEAMERICA. Smash that orange button! Tell the angry old man yelling at all of us that you won't put up with him shutting down the voices holding him accountable.
WE MADE IT.
Thanks again you maniacs, for staying up with us and listening to this hot mess. You made it a lot of fun for us ...
Look, i understand a lot of GOP voters like some of these answers re the abortion question.
Most voters view it skeptically, and most Republicans run for the bunker when pressed in the media.
The debate is over. It was a lively debate with Nikki Haley, Ron DeSantis, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Tim Scott duking it out over abortion, China, TikTok, and other issues.
Vivek was ruthless towards Haley, the RNC, and NBC.
Abortion continues to be the party's weakest point. There's no consensus position. No one likes a lecture on this subject, and every time someone in the GOP takes a position, they run for the hills when pressed by the press. No doubt, hard-core Republican voters liked what they heard, but it's costing us elections.
No doubt, the most aggressive was Vivek, who delivered haymakers everywhere.
Tim Scott was still the traveling preacher
Haley was Haley
Chris Christie wasn't as animated.
Ron DeSantis remained steady, but it's not enough.
There were some solid, lengthy, and comprehensive answers regarding the debate parameters, but it doesn't matter.
Folks, Donald Trump is going to win the nomination. It's not about loving or hating the result. It's what it is...accept it.
Thanks for tuning in tonight.
Trump speaking now in Iowa: "What a turnout, what a crowd."
"This is the time for our country to come together," Trump says.
From here, it's on to New Hampshire for the first-in-the-nation primary later this month. DeSantis is making a pit stop on Tuesday morning in South Carolina for a meet and greet hosted by the Never Back Down PAC before heading to New Hampshire for two days of events in the Granite State.
More on the mainstream media scramble:
Haha CNN @jaketapper has to immediately cut off trump’s victory speech in Iowa the moment he talks about policy, seconds after he says the southern border is openCompletely corrupt media

MSNBC host @maddow says NBC and other mainstream news networks have decided not to show Trump’s victory speech. CNN had him on briefly but then cut away and replaced him with @jaketapper who says “caucus goers believe the lie.” pic.twitter.com/dnUHEB1wqH

Already, Iowa caucusers (caucusgoers?) have checked into their local high school, church, community center, small business, library, etc. and the doors are about to close for things to get underway.
Monday night put the first votes on the board in Iowa, as well as in the 2024 GOP nominating contest. Here's what Townhall election results partner DecisionDeskHQ estimates the outcome to be as things stand now:
