Note to British press: The Who's Roger Daltrey does not want to talk about Brexit. Why should he? He's a rock star, not a member of Parliament. Yet, when he was on the pitch at Wembley Stadium last week to promote his band's new tour, a reporter posed the political question to him. As you can hear, she desperately tried to tie the UK's departure from the EU to rock music.
"Brexit looks like it's getting farther and farther away?" she asked. "Is it going to be bad for British rock music?"

"No," he answered. "What's it got to do with the rock business?"
She forced a connection by suggesting it could affect The Who's European tour.
"As if we didn't tour in Europe before the f**king EU!" he shot back. "Oh, give it up! If you wanna be sign up be be ruled by a f**king mafia, you do it. Like being governed by FIFA."
While it sounds like Daltrey has stopped talking about Brexit and is just focusing on his music, it wasn't too long ago he was freely giving his opinion. Last year, Daltrey said leaving the EU will be seen as “the right thing for this country to have done.” He explained that he's "not anti-European, but he is "anti-the present way we are being governed in Europe.”
Last week Parliament voted to postpone Brexit until June 30. Because the House of Commons has rejected Prime Minister Theresa May's deal twice, she must present it the third time with substantial changes or Speaker John Bercow will not even consider it.
