Captain America 'Honored' to Meet With Republican Senator on the Hill...But Sends an 'Avengers' Warning

Chris Evans, aka Captain America, visited Capitol Hill on Tuesday to meet with U.S. lawmakers for discussions on topics close to his heart like education and criminal justice reform. Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) knows a thing or two about those issues, and was therefore happy to meet with Evans for a heart-to-heart.

Following his meeting with the superhero, Scott said he was especially pleased that neither of them "turned to dust," in reference to one of last year's most epic films, Avengers: Infinity War. (spoiler alert).

Evans returned the kind words, but added a playful warning for the senator.

Evans should actually be more concerned about his own co-star. Tom Holland (Spider-Man) is infamous for his loose lips about the Marvel scripts. More than one movie critic has noticed that keeping secrets is not one of Holland's superpowers. Among the times he's spilled spoilers were when he leaked the title of the new Spider-Man film and the fact that it's a trilogy, and when he nearly ruined the ending of Infinity War for a theater full of moviegoers about to watch the film.

Sen. Scott is the least of Marvel's concerns.
