A truly sad day. We are in mourning over viral sensation Grumpy Cat, the curmudgeonly yet lovable kitty who kept all of us laughing for years. Grumpy Cat, whose real name is Tardar Sauce, died on Friday at the age of 7 from complications after a recent urinary tract infection.

Grumpy Cat's star shone far and bright. In addition to becoming an internet phenom, she was a TV star as well, starring in her own Lifetime Channel film, "Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever" in 2014. She was known to pal around with celebrities and was once even imitated by President Obama.
