Two U.S. soldiers killed in Iraq

BAGHDAD — Two more U.S. soldiers have been killed in Iraq, the U.S. military announced Tuesday, part of a recent wave of violence that included the armed takeover by insurgents of government building in the Diyala province east of Baghdad.

In a statement, the U.S. military said the two soldiers were killed while on duty in southern Iraq. The military did not provide details of the incident or the identities of the soldiers, pending notification of their next of kin.
