MS NOW Blames MAGA for Mamdani Erasing Italians; The Atlantic Says Dems Outreach to Real Men...Yes, Again

Demo-lition Project – MS NOW

  • Something, something…deckchairs…

We recently covered how the new weekend program on MS NOW, “Connect: With Jacob Soboroff”, had shed about 20 percent of the audience from prior shows in the timeslot. Looking over most of the revamped schedule at the network for the last quarter, there is very little to be seen in the form of good news, let alone improvements made by all of the shuffling.

  • “Money, Power & Politics” Averaged 710,000 total viewers, a six percent decline in the timeslot before the change. In the 25-54 demo, the program lost 16 percent. 

  • “On the Line with Alicia Menendez” Averaged 602,000 total viewers, a five percent drop in the timeslot before the change. In the demo, it lost 15 percent.

  • “The Moment with Katy Tur” Averaged 718,000 total viewers, down five percent in the timeslot before the change. In the demo, it lost 15 percent.

  • “The Weeknight” Averaged 1 million total viewers, down nine percent in the timeslot before the changes. In the demo, it lost 27 percent.

  • “The 11th Hour with Ali Velshi” Averaged 753,000 total viewers, down six percent in the timeslot before the changes. In the demo, 12 percent of viewers were lost.

  • In a lone dose of good numbers, “Morning Joe”, after trimming its fourth hour, saw a slight two percent bump in total viewers, but in the key demographic it managed to drop 14 percent.


Pounce Of Prevention – MS NOW

  • Maybe this could serve as an example of why viewers are fleeing.

Recently, there was uproar when a New York City map released by Zohran Mamdani’s office featured several ethnic neighborhoods around town but omitted one of the biggest and most entrenched, Little Italy.

The wizards at MS NOW have figured out that this was all just manufactured outrage generated by—you guessed it—MAGA!

  • MAGA trolls and their allies in right-wing media joined forces last week to gin up an exceptionally dumb, cynically engineered culture war “outrage.” Apparently, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani “hates” Italians because a map of “immigrant enclaves” released by the city’s Office of Immigrant Affairs did not include downtown Manhattan’s Little Italy.  

In recent years, we had to get worked up over things accused of being cultural appropriation, and that wearing certain costumes on Halloween was ethnically insensitive, but to completely erase an Italian borough is nothing to get worked up over.


Legalized Press-titution – THE ATLANTIC

  • Do you folks suppose they will get this figured out at any point?

Here is a dose of political deja vu: The Democrats are looking to attract male voters!

If you said “again?” in response, the correct answer was actually “still?!?!”

At The Atlantic, Russell Berman seems to think he has his knee on the pulse of this latest Dem effort. You might recall past misbegotten attempts, such as “White Dudes For Harris”, or the low-T video produced by the DNC showing their idea of “real” males.

Berman essentially shows us they have learned much, considering he detailed what one wonk from party headquarters wrote to him about the latest outreach attempt.

  • I got a call from a party operative who pitched a story on the Democrats’ effort to “win back the manosphere.” The operative ran through a list of a half dozen candidates in key House districts who “are engaging culturally in male spaces” 

Once they ever figure out that men do not speak in that type of neutered fashion, they could possibly be embarking on something that approximates the right direction.


Anti-Social Media – THE VIEW

  • You see – THIS is the type of crap that keeps us from reporting on these hens.

Call this justification. As we tend to avoid the cackling harpies on “The View”, sometimes they manage a level of stupidity that cannot be avoided.

Enter Sunny Hostin, who goes on to explain her resistance to seeing the Stars & Stripes. The American flag makes her feel “unsafe”.


Body Checking The Fact Checkers – POLITIFACT

  • For a party that lacks commies, they sure have a lot of them.

The facts police are at it again, attempting in vain to show President Trump is out of sorts.

PolitiFact challenged his contention that the Democratic Party is coddling communists, and while they try to insist that Socialists in the party are not in line with communists. Maybe somebody in the Democrat party should let them know.


Pre-Written Field Reports – FORBES

  • It is necessary to say, “Oh, go blow this out your rear!”

Currently, the country is in the grips of a bacterial scourge. An outbreak of a diarrheal disease—Cyclosporiasis—has people in dozens of states racing for the porcelain.

As of yet, the cause has not been pinpointed, but it is suspected to be delivered via the consumption of some raw farm food. To this point, there have been no deaths, but the rectally dehydrating effects are not enjoyable. Over at Forbes, they have not let the inconclusive data derail their preset analysis of what is the cause behind this behind affliction: Climate Change…of…course.
