Have you ever noticed how the people who complain most about sports are the people who sucked at them as kids, people who were picked last and embarrassed the species with their lack of coordination and skill? Or the “feminists” who complain the most about beauty pageants are the ones who were least likely to get asked to a high school dance or get a date in college? “You hate what you don’t understand,” the Left always lectures when it comes to its weird social programs or race hustles. They’ve stumbled onto something there, only not the way they mean it.
There is nothing the untalented hate more than being judged. It’s the sense of being judged improperly – there are plenty of people who suck at things who are blissfully unaware of it, with their ego overriding what little common sense they may have (think of the morbidly obese in public wearing spandex, if you need help conjuring up an extreme sense of lack of self- awareness).
Being judged inaccurately is not something that happens often in situations where merit is a major factor; you either win or you lose. You’re either best, or you’re not.
Democrats are never the best; they are an awful lot of creatures who recognize their own shortcomings without ever publicly acknowledging them. Since the United States of America is the only country in the history of the planet where you can become whatever it is your skills and work will carry you to, the left hates it.
Most of us carry around a few more pounds than we should, and we also likely know someone who couldn’t gain an ounce on a dare. As you watch them eat a pound of fresh pasta and a slice of cake, while washing it down with a couple of beers, a voice in the back of your head mumbles some bitter words to yourself as you pretend the salad is better than it could ever be.
Jealousy is only human, even a small amount, no matter how much you may wish to deny it. But you aren’t ruled by it; it passes like gas after hitting the Taco Bell drive-thru.
Democrats, on the other hand, live there. Not in a constant state of gas (though that would explain quite a bit), but in a world of jealousy. They spend an inordinate and unhealthy amount of time worrying about what other people have and what they are doing.
Elon Musk became a trillionaire last week, and my life wasn’t impacted in the least by that amazing accomplishment. His existence doesn’t cost me anything; his fortune was created out of nothing, not transferred from the accounts of others. Democrats either don’t understand this or gleefully exploit the ignorant who don’t.
But Musk’s life is the essence of America, and what Democrats use to protect every violent illegal alien criminal in the country. Imagine insisting that immigrants to the country (they always ignore the “illegal” part) are better than those of us born here, and are the reason our economy grows, while screaming out the other side of their mouths that the most successful business owner in world history should have the fruits of his labor ripped from him, tossed into prison, stripped of his citizenship and then deported. No rapist, no murderer, no Somali fraudster is reviled half as much as the man who created more millionaires than anyone else ever.
So much of what the Democrat Party is now revolves around envy. Sports reporting is done largely by that kid who never got over being picked last, and the rest of the news is reported by millionaires lamenting the existence of billionaires.
In the United States, even losers can make it if they apply themselves. Democrats tend not to. Apply themselves, that is, which makes them disproportionately losers and angry about it. If they burned half the calories that they waste whining on trying…actually, they’d still fail because they’re miserable people.
But maybe they wouldn’t hate the country so much if they stopped being angry about how it works and started trying to work within it? Probably not – they’re happier being a fish complaining about being wet than people one revelation away from changing their nature for the best. It’s who they are and why they hate the country.
