This weekend, President Donald Trump launched Operation Epic Fury — major precision strikes against Iran in close coordination with Israel. It is the direct follow-up to last summer’s Operation Midnight Hammer, which crippled Iran’s primary nuclear facilities. There are no American boots on the ground.
These are targeted strikes on nuclear infrastructure, missile factories, naval assets, IRGC command nodes, and key regime sites — nothing more, nothing less. Israeli intelligence enabled additional precision hits on Iranian leadership targets; multiple senior IRGC commanders were killed and Israeli media report “growing indications” that Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei himself was struck in a direct attack on his compound.
Iran enters this fight already weakened by Midnight Hammer. Its population is emboldened, the region has turned its back on the regime, and the combined might of U.S. and Israeli forces stands positioned to finish the job.
This is not an imperialistic war. It is a strategic strike with a singular purpose: to stop Iran’s race toward nuclear weapons and halt a regime that openly defied every American warning. Even after Midnight Hammer, the mullahs rushed to rebuild.
At the same time, Iran’s rulers have unleashed a new wave of domestic terror. In the last month alone, the regime has massacred thousands of its own citizens while crushing peaceful protests. This isn’t a normal dictatorship. It is a uniquely evil, brutal, totalitarian, Nazi-like regime — fanatically Jew-hating, America-hating, and the world’s foremost exporter of terrorism since the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
For decades, it has armed, trained, and directed Hezbollah, Hamas, the Houthis, and Shia militias that killed and maimed thousands of Americans with IEDs in Iraq and Afghanistan — plus countless Arabs and Israelis. Tens or hundreds of thousands of innocent Iranians have lived under its boot. What’s at stake is far bigger than the price of oil. This is about stopping exported death, dismantling the world’s most dangerous terror engine, and giving millions of people — Iranians, Israelis, Arabs, and Americans — a fighting chance at stability and freedom.
This nightmare was supercharged by Barack Obama and the “AutoPen President” Joe Biden. Obama’s 2015 JCPOA showered the regime with over $100 billion and legitimacy. Biden continued the appeasement. American weakness and taxpayer cash helped build the monster.
President Trump is cleaning up their catastrophic mess — and he is doing it the right way.
In a powerful direct appeal, Trump told the Iranian people: “Take over your government — it will be yours to take” and “The hour of your freedom is at hand.” He made clear that the Iranian people, not the mullahs, will determine their own future. This stands in stark contrast to 2009, when the Obama administration betrayed the Green Revolution with nothing more than mild diplomatic statements.
This approach mirrors the principled stand America took against tyranny in Venezuela: confronting evil directly, without indefinite occupations, while empowering oppressed people to seize their own destiny.
Trump puts America and Americans first — not just in rhetoric, but in decisive action. This is classic peace through strength: credible deterrence that sends a message to every adversary, including China and Russia, while laying the groundwork for lasting stability in the Middle East, including vital progress in Gaza. We live in historic times. The time for weakness is over. Thank God Kamala Harris and Tim Walz were never put in power.
In the fog of war, the perspective is clear. This is leadership that confronts evil, protects civilization, dismantles the world’s top state sponsor of terror, and gives an entire people a chance at freedom. The regime that Obama and Biden empowered is finally facing justice. The Middle East — and the world — will be safer for it.
