  • Holy cow, go have a cigarette and take a shower after that, you are embarrassing yourselves.

Most are aware that Gavin Newsom has designs on the White House in 2028. Just look at how he is seen almost anywhere, except in his home state of California. Another piece of evidence is the fawning media coverage, and at Vanity Fair, they may have become so forward in their adulation of the man that describing it as a "tongue bath" feels like it does not go far enough.

Keep in mind, this is the same fashion magazine that cannot bring itself to feature the fashion model first lady, but this cringe-fest of a swooning profile with an Annie Leibovitz photo spread is possible. Read this passage and ask yourself: Had Newsom written this himself, would it be any more cloying and effusive?

Artisanally-Crafted Narratives – WASHINGTON POST

  • So what you are saying is this is the first awards show you have ever watched…

After the insufferable Grammy Awards, where ICE and immigration were talked about from the red carpet to the post-awards pressers, and music seemed a secondary concern, we get this obtuse rundown from Chris Richards, the site's music columnist. Does he really want to suggest that celebrities have been coy about expressing their political opinions at awards ceremonies?!

This has been so common that, for years, reporters have kept tabs on the various ribbons and pins worn by celebrities to virtue signal about their pet causes.

Both Kinds of Standards – ABC NEWS

  • Now, had you thought this all the way through…

At ABC News, they are very upset that people are going to be facing the challenge of new standards being set in order to maintain their SNAP food benefits. Very upset:

Millions of people will unnecessarily be kicked off the rolls," Joel Berg, CEO of the nonprofit Hunger Free America, told ABC News. "They will lose the food they need, and sometimes family members need.

Sounds harsh, until we see that the reason is that there is a new requirement for recipients needing to look for work to maintain the support program handed out. Then it gets worse. We are told the reason this is such a harsh requirement is not so much because of the predicated work, but that filling out paperwork is too burdensome for those in the program:

Berg said it could be very difficult for these populations to not only get jobs but provide the documentation to prove to the government they are meeting work requirements.

Somehow, filling out the needed documents to qualify for the program was not a problem, but now it will be a severe challenge. This smacks of hiding the fact that illegal aliens will no longer be qualified to receive the SNAP payouts that had previously been granted to them.

Border-line Obsession – KTLA, LosAngeles

  • Did anyone ponder why ICE would target a woman for being pregnant?

The local station delivers the latest reframing of an immigration detainee, where they claim that ICE agents "forced their way onto the grounds" of a church during a food giveaway staging area.

The individual had actually been fleeing agents and ran into the area, where he was apprehended for being a previously deported alien who had feloniously recrossed the border.

Reporting on the Mirror – NEWS NATION

  • This is the kind of apology that only discredits you more, Chris.

We are not entirely sure what provoked this Chris Cuomo rant; perhaps it is a response to the Don Lemon arrest. But he went on a lengthy, profanity-laden "apology" where he basically lists off several major news items over the years, where he says he did not do enough at the time. This involves pushing back against Trump (sure, Chris, you held back…), the Russian collusion story, the vaccine and pandemic reporting, and more.

He basically is delivering a resume of his failures in journalism, which completely invalidates him as a trusted source on any matter, for that matter.
