A new sheriff is coming to town. The free gravy train for the irresponsible and illegals is going to be over. "Free" is giving way to personal responsibility and earning the rewards you seek. "Free" is on the way out in Trump's Washington.
I don't think it has sunk in to the freeloaders who major in demonstrating and demanding that government meet their special interest needs. Complaining about what you are entitled to receive simply because you breathe the air in America is about to hit a stonewall-President Donald Trump. In an America built on individual achievement, the only true success is success through personal discipline, wise investment of time and money, and hard effort.
From America's beginning, citizens created a republic that rejected an all-powerful government. They wanted big government out of their lives. They wanted freedom and the right to earn their own success and keep the results of that success. Americans took pride in self-sufficiency. When they took out a debt, they expected they would have to pay it off. Americans were willing to help others, but it was help designed to get the less fortunate back on their own feet, not an invitation to be dependent on government.
When President Trump is inaugurated, he is expected to act quickly. Starting with the most violent illegal immigrant criminals, he will begin deporting thousands of the undocumented out of America. He will take a strong stand against the cartels and authorize completion of the Southern border wall with Mexico.
But what about deporting all immigrants who came here illegally. Will he have to deport millions to fulfill his promise to voters? That may not be necessary. He will work with responsible states to cut off benefits and housing to those who are here illegally. No more free room and board. No more funds from Washington to put illegal immigrant needs ahead of the needs of our citizens.

In CA, Governor Newsom is putting out the welcome sign for illegals. He contends that California will remain a "sanctuary" state, essentially inviting any illegal immigrant who wants to avoid deportation to come to the state. California is already the home for more illegal immigrants than any other state. Not only does California provide a safe sanctuary; they receive a number of benefits. They receive Disability Insurance (DI) and Paid Family Leave (PFL) benefits which provide partial pay when you need time off work for your own disability or family leave. In short if you are an undocumented worker in California, you can apply for DI and PFL benefits, even if you don't have a Social Security number.
But when Governor Newsom goes to Washington to ask for funds to relieve his state's resulting deficit, Trump most likely will have a clear answer-"NO!"
If you're stupid enough to invite illegal aliens to come and stay in California, expect to pay the price for your illegal hospitality.
Recently, DHS Secretary Alexandro Mayorkas announced a new rule that takes effect January 13th. Instead of capping work permits for illegal immigrants at 180 days, Mayorkas will allow millions of migrants released into the US to extend their work permits for up to 540 days when they seek renewals.
Expect President Trump to reverse such programs. Under Trump, cheap labor will no longer be cheap when you may go to jail for hiring them. Expect Trump to make it illegal to hire the undocumented. When more and more illegals can't find a job or government benefits, Trump won't have to deport them. When their promised "American Dream" becomes a nightmare, more and more illegal immigrants will leave on their own.
If you are student expecting President Trump to dismiss your student loans, don't hold your breath. You took out the loan, under Trump, it should and will remain your responsibility to pay it back. President Biden realized it was looking more and more like he would lose, so he tried to bribe students facing heavy loan debt in hopes of getting their votes! Student loan relief became a lottery and a reason to keep a Democrat in office. With Trump personal responsibility will be back in. So, if you are going to take out a loan for a college education, make sure the education you receive will make it likely you have the income to pay it back.
Yes, it is the end of the free ride. Like any addiction, look out for the symptoms of withdrawal when the "free" money dries up. You may very well feel a compulsion to picket, to scream at the moon with other freeloaders, and to defame any conservative you can find. With prolonged disappointment, expect bouts of crying, diarrhea, and depression. Thankfully, there is one good old American solution. Take responsibility for your own life. Find a good job. Pay your own way and thank God you live in a country that allows you to have a dream and achieve it.
